Team PokerStars Pro Jake Cody will take his place among the multitude of online qualifiers, live satellite winners and international PokerStars Festival players this week. “I’m really looking forward to the festival in London,” said Cody. “It’s not often I get to roll out of my own bed to go and play a big PokerStars event with friends. Players can expect a great atmosphere and schedule. Plus, there are three free $30,000 PSPC tickets to be won throughout the event!”

Cody will warm up with tomorrow’s £2,200 High Roller before taking part in the Main Event. His history at PokerStars LIVE at The Hippodrome Casino stretches back four years, when he won the inaugural UKIPT Series – his first tournament victory after completing his Triple Crown in 2011.

Last year, 23-year-old law student Rehman Kassam [5] from London played a live £120 PokerStars satellite and took home the Main Event’s first prize of £89,320, the largest win of his poker career. Team PokerStars Pro Liv Boeree said, “Anyone can follow in Rehman’s footsteps and turn a small investment into a big win. That’s the beauty of the PokerStars Festival series.”

The first event of PokerStars Festival London – the two-day £170 NL Hold’em Super Deep Stack – is already under way, with Day 2 combining survivors from two flights tomorrow at noon.
