Brazil: The GGPoker World Festival Will Award at Least $250 Million

Brazil – April 10, 2025 www.zonadeazar.com This year’s GGPoker World Festival will award at least $250 million (R$1.25 billion). The event will take place from May 5 to June 11 on the GGPoker platform. In 2023, for example, the festival’s guaranteed prize pool was $200 million (approximately R$1 billion).
In Monday’s announcement, GGPoker revealed that the tournament schedule will feature four levels of buy-ins (entry fees). The complete festival schedule will be released on the platform in the coming days.
The lowest buy-ins will start at $2.50 (R$7), while mid-level buy-ins will begin at $25 (R$100). Additionally, the GGPoker World Festival will feature tournaments with buy-ins starting at $150 (R$750) and $1,050 (R$5,000) at the highest levels.
There will be satellite tournaments for players to qualify for the festival events. Satellites are smaller tournaments that grant entry into larger events—players compete for a seat rather than a cash prize. This allows those who cannot afford high entry fees to participate in bigger tournaments.
GGPoker ambassador and Canadian poker legend Daniel Negreanu praised the festival, highlighting the $50 million (R$250 million) increase in the guaranteed prize pool compared to 2023.
— Let the festivities begin on May 5, as we continue our tradition of revolutionizing poker year after year. We made history in 2023, and now, with an additional $50 million in guaranteed prizes, the GGPoker World Festival is bigger and better than ever — said Negreanu.
