Caixa and Banco da Amazônia Partner to Expand Services Through Lottery Network

Brazil.- May 23 2025 www.zonadeazar.com  Caixa Econômica Federal and Banco da Amazônia (BASA) signed a cooperation agreement on Tuesday (May 20) in Brasília to share Caixa’s extensive lottery network. The partnership will allow BASA clients to make deposits and withdrawals at over 1,300 lottery outlets across 696 municipalities in Brazil’s Legal Amazon region.

Carlos Vieira, President of Caixa, emphasized that the agreement strengthens both institutions by expanding service infrastructure. “This initiative reinforces Caixa’s social mission by improving financial accessibility in the North,” he stated.

BASA President Luiz Cláudio Lessa celebrated the deal, highlighting Caixa’s wide-reaching network as a key tool for financial inclusion. The agreement also plans to enable future withdrawals of INSS (social security) benefits at lottery outlets for BASA customers.

Transaction limits are set at R$ 2,000 for daily withdrawals and R$ 1,000 for daily deposits into checking and savings accounts.
