Carlos Brandão, governor of Maranhão, stated that Lotema will have an innovative impact on the state by generating direct and indirect employment and income and directing resources to priority areas, including social security, education, sports and disaster prevention, which will directly benefit the state. population. from Maranhao.
Lotema promises to boost the local economy, in addition to contributing to reducing unemployment. According to the Government of Maranhão, it is expected that more than R$ 31 million will be transferred financially to investments in public policies only in the first year of operation. Lotema is also committed to sustainability and social responsibility. Lotema will carry out awareness campaigns and responsible gaming practices, promoting a healthy entertainment culture and minimizing problems related to gambling (gaming addiction).

Regarding local sports, the president of Mapa says that meetings will be held with representatives of the clubs to “align the step by step and participation”.
Initially, club presidents must know their brands so that operators can use them. The state will be responsible for carrying out percentage distribution according to the services provided, detailed in Decree No. 38,763/2023.
