Brazil.- 11th March 2025 www.zonadeazar.com The SBC Summit Rio 2025 closed with great success, reaffirming its position as one of the most important events for the gaming and betting industry in Latin America.

Held from 25-27 February at Riocentro, the event brought together leading industry players, including operators, affiliates, regulators and suppliers, providing a key environment for networking and analysis of the newly regulated Brazilian market.

With notable growth over the previous edition, the summit attracted 15,000 attendees and featured an extensive exhibition area where global and regional brands unveiled their latest innovations. In addition, the educational programme was strengthened with four conference stages and two specialised summits: the Affiliate Leaders Summit and the Payment Experts Summit.

Among the highlights, the event featured renowned speakers such as Brazilian football legend Bebeto, key government representatives in the regulation of the sector and high-level executives, including Fernando Garita (CEO of Betsul), Arthur Silva (CEO of Alfa Entertainment) and Marcos Sabiá (CEO of Galera.bet).

In addition to the conferences and panels, attendees enjoyed multiple networking opportunities, including exclusive social events, a 3v3 football tournament and the INFINITY RIO closing party, which featured performances by Afrojack and DubDogz.

In this context, we conducted an exclusive interview with Alexander Linhares, Sales Director, Unico, which we share below.

What are your expectations for SBC Summit Rio?

Hello! My name is Alexander Linhares and I am a customer and sales director at Único IDtech. Único is a Brazilian company with a global presence.

We are the largest human identity validation network here in Brazil. We are also present in other countries, such as Mexico, Europe, the United States and others.

It is very important for us to be part of the betting ecosystem here at the SBC Summit Rio in 2025, as a way to learn and understand what pains the market has and how we can jointly solve these pains in the betting market.

We, as specialists in identity validation and biometrics in Brazil, as the vanguard of this kind of regulation for operators, we understand that this is possibly a trend that we will see other countries joining as well, first in Latin America, eventually, and then worldwide, because we understand that this brings security to the market, reliability in the eyes of the regulators and the end customers.

We also understand that you will know your customer better, you will be closer to them, knowing their data, their information, where in their journey they will use your solutions, so you will also be closer to them, so it is a benefit for the whole ecosystem.
