According to O Globo newspaper, the midfielder stated that he received a phone call during the week where the proposal was made. Furthermore, the athlete mentioned that the proposal was turned down by him and the number had identification from Paraguay.
Robson also stated that after the refusal, the recruiter increased the proposal. The initial offer was $5,000, equivalent to R$25,000, and with the denial, the amount rose to $10,000, about R$50,000.
After the incident, the midfielder informed the Bolivian club’s management, which promptly offered support and organized a press conference for the athlete to report the incident even before the match against the Argentine team scheduled for tomorrow. In the press conference, the player stated that the club is providing all possible support.
Always Ready is a Bolivian club that has consistently participated in major international club competitions in South America.
