BetStars has issued 1/50 odds of Jaime Staples and his brother Matt being within one pound of each other at their official weigh-in on Sunday, March 25 at the Run It Up Reno event in Las Vegas.
In March last year, while on-board the StreamBoat in the Virgin Islands, owner and high-roller Bill Perkins wagered the Twitch-streaming brothers a prop bet of 50/1 that 20.7 stone Jaime and 9.5 stone Matt would not weigh within one pound of each other in exactly one year’s time. The Staples brothers are set to make $150,000 from their $3,000 on Sunday if they reach that target.
Over the last year Jaime, who has been open about his weight struggles in the past, has been following a strict diet and exercise plan while Matt has been hitting the gym. The brothers have been supported by a personal trainer to create personalised plans to help each of them on their journeys.
With less than 5lbs between them, the sweat is now on.
