Canada.- May 2, 2017 www.zonadeazar.com [2] English professional poker player Jack Salter took down the €2k PokerStars National High Roller, outlasting the 469-entry field to bank €142,600. The 30-year-old from London is now closing on $6 million in live tournament winnings. He’s fourth in the English all-time money list.

“I’m very happy to win against such big poker legends in this fantastic event… and now I’m gonna play the 50k,” Salter said. He kindly posed for the winner photos but that was just about the time he spent away from the action. Then he bought into the €50k Single-Day tournament just before the end of late registration to continue his relentless grind.
Today’s victory in the PokerStars National High Roller wasn’t Salter’s first big score earned in the Salle des Étoiles tournament room. Three years ago, he finished second in the EPT10 Grand Final Main Event.
Salter entered the final day of the PokerStars National High Roller as the chip leader amongst the six remaining players who came back at noon to play down to the winner. Salter finished the tournament less than four hours into play, denying Mikhail Korotkikh heads-up. Korotkikh picked up €104,950. The final table also featured Mikhail Tomovic, Colin Lovelock and Yang Zhang.
The 469-entry field comprised of 364 unique players, who generated a €909,860 prize pool. The top 88 finishers were paid, including Team PokerStars Pros Felipe Ramos (27th for €6,230), Jake Cody (36th for €4,970) and Andre Akkari (37th for €4,970).
