Nardin has a solid lead over his opponents. He’ll come back to 3,956,000 tomorrow. The 25-year-old French poker pro vaulted in to the chip lead during the penultimate level of today’s play. He bust Arne Coulier in 27th place less than an hour before scoring another knockout, sending Vicente Delgado to the rail in 22nd place. It was a massive cooler that saw Nardin on the better side as he held pocket aces against Delgado’s ace-king. A safe board secured Nardin a giant pot, and he suddenly hurdled over the three-million chip-mark.

Originally from Toulouse, Nardin now lives in Malta where he grinds online in the shared liquidity pool. He also spends afternoons on his terrace, playing Open Face Chinese Poker against his mates. Nardin is friend with his fellow countryman Paul Testud, who went deep in the Main Event, too. Testud was eliminated on Day 4, leaving in 29th place for €19,840.

Start-of-day chip leader Michael Kolkowicz navigated his stack to a solid 2,983,000, good for second place in the leaderboard. Kolkowicz married his wife Cynthia here in the Salle des Étoiles ten years ago, and his significant other is now happy with Kolkowicz’ Main Event run. The 31-year-old real estate agent may be an amateur poker player, but he’s managed to finish amongst the top five every day so far.

The last two tables also feature a host of the well-known poker stars, such as Alexandru Papazian, who won the EPT12 Grand Final €25k High Roller here in Monaco, has 1,759,000. Two EPT Main Event champions are still in contention – Davidi Kitai (1,622,000) and Team PokerStars Pro Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, who scored several double ups today to keep his chances on getting the PokerStars Championship Main Event title. ElkY is in 13th place, with 653,000.

Diego Zeiter, Raffaele Sorrentino, Sergio Aido, Moritz Dietrich and Stefan Schillhabel will all come back for Day 5, too.

Andreas Klatt has already won a big tournament during this festival, topping the 1,252-entry PokerStars National Championship for a €151,445. Klatt is now capitalizing on his momentum in the Main Event, making it to the last two tables. He bagged up 1,059,000 to round out the top ten. Klatt’s back-to-back deep runs make him one of the hottest contenders in the MonteDam Swing leaderboard [8].

There are 41 minutes left to play in level 23 (12,000/24,000, ante 4,000). Play will resume at noon and the PokerStars TV cameras will once again be present at the tables to bring the action to the fans from all around the world. You can follow the live stream here [9].

Many notable players exited today, including Jeff Hakim (17th for €25,700), Paul-Francois Tedeschi (18th for €25,700), Diego Ventura (24th for €19,840), Sebastian Malec (26th for €19,840), Manig Loeser (28th for €19,840), Hossein Ensan (32nd for €15,420), Remi Castaignon (33rd for €15,420), Dan Smith (34th for €15,420) and Jan Bendik (36th for €15,420).

The €5,300 PokerStars Championship presented by Monte-Carlo Casino® Main Event drew 727 runners who pushed the total prize pool up to €3,525,950. The last player standing is set to receive the €500,800 first-place prize along with the title. The champion’s name will also be engraved on the spectacular Main Event trophy to accompany former winners Christian Harder, Kenneth Smaron and Elliot Smith.
