Brazil.- 11th March 2025 www.zonadeazar.com The SBC Summit Rio 2025 closed with great success, reaffirming its position as one of the most important events for the gaming and betting industry in Latin America. Held from February 25-27 at Riocentro, the event brought together leading industry players, including operators, affiliates, regulators and suppliers, providing a key environment for networking and analysis of the newly regulated Brazilian market.
With notable growth over the previous edition, the summit attracted 15,000 attendees and featured an extensive exhibition area where global and regional brands unveiled their latest innovations. In addition, the educational program was strengthened with four conference stages and two specialized summits: the Affiliate Leaders Summit and the Payment Experts Summit.
Among the highlights, the event featured renowned speakers, such as Brazilian soccer legend Bebeto, key government representatives in the regulation of the sector and high-level executives, including Fernando Garita (CEO of Betsul), Arthur Silva (CEO of Alfa Entertainment) and Marcos Sabiá (CEO of Galera.bet).
In addition to the conferences and panels, attendees enjoyed multiple networking opportunities, including exclusive social events, a 3v3 soccer tournament and the INFINITY RIO closing party, which featured performances by Afrojack and DubDogz.
In this context, we conducted an exclusive interview with Ronaldo Kos, LATAM director, IDnow, which we share below.
What are your expectations for SBC Summit Rio?
So we are very happy to be here at SBC Rio, one year after the start of regulation, the first big iGaming event in Brazil after regulation, there is a lot of talk about KYC, regulation, all the points that are linked to this new moment.
And we are very happy to be able to contribute to the operators, so that they have a tool that is efficient, secure, frictionless and compliant.
So we are very happy to be here and it is going to be a fantastic year, I am sure.
