Zona de Azar USA – AGEM June Index Reports 4.6% Gain Over May
USA.- July 3rd 2019 www.zonadeazar.com The Association of Gaming Equipment Manufacturers’ June 2019 Index, which the organization released Tuesday morning, showed a 22.34-point gain over May’s Index, to 505.34 points. The increase represented a 4.6 percent gain over the previous month’s total.
The Index’s June growth was largely driven by a 5.5 percent increase in the stock price of slot developer Aristocrat Leisure Limited, which rose from AU$29.12 to AU$30.72 per share. Aristocrat’s stock was responsible for 13.96 points of the AGEM Index’s monthly growth and allowed the Index to overcome losses incurred by several of the Index’s listed stocks.
NYSE-traded Crane Co. increased from $76.46 to $83.44 per share, a 9.1 percent increase and a contribution of 6.86 points to the overall Index.
Nasdaq-listed Transact Technologies showed the biggest month-over-month growth by percentage. The company’s shares rose from 8.61 to 11.26, a 30.8 percent increase over May.
Overall, most companies listed on the AGEM Index showed increases in stock price during the month. Taiwan’s Astro Corp. was up 3.4 percent, to $14.90 per share, while the Nasdaq-listed Inspired Entertainment, Inc. saw its shares increase 13.6 percent, to $8.44 a share.
The largest losses of the month by percentage were incurred by Ainsworth Game Technology, which saw its share price slip to AU$0.67 per share, a 10.7 percent decrease, and by U.S.-based Galaxy Gaming, Inc., whose shares dropped 11.4 percent to $1.63 per share.
International Game Technology’s share price was virtually unchanged, decreasing from $13 a share to $12.97, a percentage decrease of 0.2 percent. NYSE-listed Everi Holdings was up 7.1 percent, to $11.93 a share, and Agilsys, which trades on Nasdaq, fell 1.5 percent to $21.47 a share.
The major stock indices also performed strongly; the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 7.2 percent over the month, while the S&P 500 gained 6.9 percent. Nasdaq was up 7.4 percent.
