This week’s EXP Pro-Am Apex Legends Exhibition took place alongside The 2019 ESPYS, with a $150K USD EXP Invitational – Apex Legends to take place at X Games Minneapolis.
The events are streamed live online, and also shown via ESPN and ABC linear platforms via tape-delayed highlights specials.
ASUS Republic of Gamers has been announced as the official hardware sponsor of ESPN’s EXP tournament series, which is currently focused on Electronic Arts’ battle royale shooter, Apex Legends.
Competitors will use ROG Strix GL12CX gaming desktops and ROG Swift PG248Q gaming monitors made by ASUS, while event casters will be equipped with Strix SCAR III gaming laptops.
The EXP Pro-Am Apex Legends Exhibition took place earlier this week in conjunction with the 2019 ESPYS awards show in Los Angeles, California. The competition brought together athletes, celebrities, and influencers, as well as fans who won a contest to attend.
Next up is the EXP Invitational – Apex Legends tournament at X Games Minneapolis on August 2-3. The competition will feature 20 of the world’s top Apex Legends squads battling it out for a share of the $150K prize pool.

ESPN announced the EXP branding in early June, revealing plans to include additional games in the future and feature various formats, including professional, pro-am, and collegiate competitions. The events are streamed live via digital platforms, including the ESPN app, and will also be featured in tape-delayed highlights shows via ESPN and ABC’s linear networks.
May’s ESPN Collegiate Esports Championship, which did not initially feature the EXP branding, has been retroactively added to the program. ASUS Republic of Gamers also provided hardware for that event.
