Zona de Azar Australia – Crown Melbourne Resumes Gaming Operations as Victoria Restrictions Lift

Australia.- July 29th 2021 www.zonadeazar.com Crown Resorts’ Melbourne gaming operations have resumed once more, after a further range of restrictions were lifted across the Australian region yesterday.

Restrictions on gaming operations now include limiting the maximum capacity in each indoor space to 100 patrons, or the number permitted by the density quotient of one person per four square metres. Physical distancing and hygiene protocols remain in place.

This comes after Crown Melbourne‘s business operations recommenced hotel and food and beverage operations, except those located on the casino floor, at the beginning of last month.

Crown says that it will “continue to work closely with the government and health authorities in Victoria and will respond to measures taken in relation to COVID-19.”

This latest lifting of restrictions in the region follows a reduction in community transmission of COVID-19 in Victoria, as well as advice from the region’s chief health officer.

Premier of Victoria Daniel Andrews, commented: “To every Victorian who checked in with our QR system, who got tested and quarantined, and stayed home to slow the spread of this virus, thank you – it’s because of you we’ve able to get on top of this Delta outbreak and open up our state”

Victorians are now permitted to leave their homes for any reason, with restaurants and cafes to reopen for seated service, and retail and beauty, personal care, entertainment venues and community facilities, to resume operations with density limits.

Victoria will also return to the rule that ‘if you can work from home, you should work from home,’ but office workers will be able to return up to 25 per cent or up to 10 people, whichever is greater.

Masks will continue to be required everywhere indoors and outdoors (except private residences), unless an exception applies, however, gatherings in the home are still not permitted.

Martin Foley, minister for health, commented: “Today is welcome news but with thousands of Victorians in quarantine, we need to remain vigilant to keep each other safe – so please check in everywhere, every time, wear a mask and get vaccinated as soon as you’re eligible.”
