Zona de Azar Argentina – ALEA Workshop: “Certify WLA with Confidence”

Argentina.- September 18, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com At the ALEA Meeting Center in Buenos Aires, a workshop was held for officials from the Social Responsibility areas of the Argentine lotteries that are members of the Association.

The goal of the workshop was to advance the WLA RG certification process and the use of the digitalRG platform, offering participants a valuable opportunity to deepen their understanding of this topic.

At the opening of the event, Dr. Ida López, President of ALEA, along with Executive Director Mario Trucco, welcomed participants from 17 jurisdictions across the country.

From Canada, via Zoom, Mrs. Lynne Roiter – Secretary General – and Melissa Azam – Senior CSR Manager of WLA – presented on the Introduction to WLA certification, progress in LatAm, and the importance of Responsible Gaming. Victoria Ferrando from DigitalRG led the modules that were part of the scheduled agenda.

The WLA Responsible Gaming (RG) Framework certification allows lotteries and their suppliers to demonstrate their adherence to the industry’s best practices, protecting players’ interests while balancing fundraising and offering responsible entertainment.

The WLA supports its members in achieving Responsible Gaming certification in collaboration with DigitalRG, a platform that simplifies and optimizes the certification process at all levels. Starting in 2024, all WLA members must submit their RG applications through digitalRG.com, where they will be evaluated by the Independent Assessment Panel (IAP).

ALEA, always committed to the training and development of its members, supports this initiative and helps its members advance in the Certification Process proposed by the World Lottery Association internationally.
