Zona de Azar Argentina – Córdoba Lottery Trained One Million Citizens in Responsible Gambling
Argentina.- November 20, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com The Córdoba Lottery has announced that it has already trained one million citizens in responsible gambling as part of the program it has been implementing in the province. Additionally, the institution has launched three parental control apps to prevent minors from engaging in gambling.
The organization has also trained more than 2,000 high school students, 2,000 teachers, and 2,000 parents. With these measures, the Córdoba Lottery aims to promote responsible gambling and prevent minors from accessing games of chance.
Parental Control Apps for Online Gambling
The Córdoba Lottery has taken a significant step in protecting minors by implementing three new parental control applications for online gambling. These tools are available on the official Lottery website and offer adults the ability to block children’s access to gambling platforms restricted to those of legal age.
This launch is part of broader child protection policies. David Urreta, president of the Córdoba Lottery, emphasized the importance of these initiatives:
“At the Córdoba Lottery, protecting our youth is a top priority. We have implemented these tools to enable parents to monitor and control their children’s online gambling activities.”
The available apps — Gamban, Qustodio, and Betblocker — allow parents to block access to virtual wallets and restrict entry to various gambling platforms. This is particularly important in a digital environment where young people may be exposed to content unsuitable for their age.
Education and Awareness Initiatives
In addition to implementing these apps, the Córdoba Lottery is committed to educating and raising awareness about responsible gambling. Urreta highlighted the importance of participating in educational initiatives in schools and clubs under a program called “Responsible Gambling.” These activities aim to educate both parents and young people about the risks associated with online gambling.
Néstor Gómez, Vice President of the Córdoba Lottery, also mentioned the development of an in-house application to complement these efforts:
“We believe these tools can be of great help to guardians of minors. We are developing an app that will assist parents in safeguarding their children.”
