Argentina.- Zona de Azar – Monday 21-08-2023 – National Holiday – On 08/17 the passing to immortality of General José de San Martín is commemorated. The so-called “Liberator of America” died on August 17, 1850 at his home in Boulogne-sur-Mer, France.

San Martin played a fundamental role in the political independence of Argentina, and also collaborated with the independence processes of Chile and Peru, in command of the Army of the Andes and the Regiment of Grenadiers on Horseback, which he created in 1812. This date was moved to today for tourist purposes.
