In a close vote, by 14 votes against 12, the Constitution and Justice Commission (CCJ) approved, this Wednesday (19), PL 2,234/2022, which allows the exploitation of bingo, casino, Jogo do Bicho and horse racing in national territory.
It also foresees the creation of two taxes to be paid by licensed gaming and betting operators. According to the text, the amount collected from taxes should be transferred to tourism, culture, sports funds and the Municipal Participation Fund. The project goes to the Plenary for analysis.
