Zona de Azar Brasil – Brazil: Flamengo’s Board has Proposed the Creation of a Betting House

Brazil.-  July 31, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com  Flamengo’s Deliberative Council will have in hand a proposal from the club’s marketing department with the proposal of creating a betting house called Flabet. The betting house will be presented as another way for the club to obtain funds that could exceed R$82.5 million.

The betting house will be operated by Pixbet, the team’s current master sponsor, which has even renewed its contract until 2027. It is worth noting that the betting house is a license and not a sponsorship and, despite being entirely linked to Flamengo, the betting house will bring together a variety of sports and games from all Brazilian football teams.

Flamengo expects a profit of at least R$82.5 million and the creation of the betting house is guaranteed by the entry of R$10 million in 2024, R$22.5 million in 2025 and R$25 million in 2026 and 2027 each. However, there is a possibility that the club could get even more money from the betting house.

In addition to the minimum amount that the club plans to receive, Flamengo may receive an even higher amount if 1% of gross revenue is greater than the minimum guaranteed profit. The board sees the betting house as a possibility of increasing its revenue and expects the proposal to be voted on by the Deliberative Council in the next 10 days.
