Request from other bookmakers to Sigap
Betnacional, part of the NSX Group, has taken an important step towards regulation in Brazil. The company filed a license application with the Betting Management System (Sigap) of the Ministry of Finance, with the aim of obtaining the necessary authorization to operate in the sports betting and fixed-odd online gaming market by the end of this year. Already having a CNPJ and operating within Brazilian laws, Betnacional is now awaiting the green light to pay a fixed grant of R$30 million. This authorization will allow Betnacional, in addition to its current operations, to also use the Mr. Jack Bet and Pagbet brands.
The CEO of the NSX Group, João Studart, highlighted the importance of this license, considering it a significant milestone that demonstrates responsibility for the operation and integrity in betting. The expectation is that authorization will be granted by the end of 2024, allowing Betnacional to begin its operations authorized to operate in the country from 2025.
From January 1st, only authorized companies will be able to operate in the Brazilian market. With the August 20 deadline approaching, the Ministry of Finance has already received requests from five other bookmakers operating in Brazil, including Betano, Superbet, Rei do Pitaco, Sportingbet and Caesars Sportsbook. These companies also seek to operate legally in the country, aligning themselves with current regulations.
In summary, Betnacional is committed to legal compliance and hopes to obtain federal authorization to operate in the sports betting and online gaming market in Brazil
