Zona de Azar Brasil – Brazil: Luiz Henrique Allegedly Received PIX Transfers from Paquetá’s relatives
Brazil.- September 25, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com On Tuesday, the 24th, the UOL portal published a report indicating that Botafogo forward Luiz Henrique allegedly received two transfers, worth R$10,000 and R$30,000, from relatives of West Ham and Brazilian national team midfielder, Lucas Paquetá. Luiz Henrique was even mentioned in the English Football Association (FA) complaint against the midfielder for match-fixing.
The portal also claimed to have accessed details about the amounts received by the Botafogo forward, one of the top players in the 2024 Brasileirão. Both transfers were made on January 30 and February 5 of last year.
Two days before the first transfer, Luiz Henrique was cautioned with a yellow card in the match between Betis and Getafe while still playing for Real Betis in La Liga. On February 4, Luiz Henrique was again penalized with a yellow card in the match between Betis and Celta de Vigo, where he played for just 11 minutes.
Both transfers were made by Lucas Paquetá’s uncle, Bruno Tolentino, and his son, Yan Tolentino, Paquetá’s cousin. Both were mentioned in the FA’s complaints, and Bruno even stated in testimony that he had previously won money in games where Luiz Henrique played, but he claimed that the transfers had no connection to the events.
“It was money I owed him, and I paid him back. It was an agreement between us. How can I explain? It was money I owed him, and he had lent it to me. We agreed on a repayment and I paid him back. When I had the money to pay, I did. I can bet; I’m not banned. I just can’t have insider information. About Luiz Henrique, it was pure luck, man. It’s one in a million,” Bruno told UOL.
