Zona de Azar Brasil – Brazil: New General Coordinator of Regulation at the Prizes and Betting Secretariat
Brazil.- July 1, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com Personnel Ordinance SPA/MF nº 1,310, published in the Official Gazette of the Union, designates Francisco Carvalheira Neto as General Coordinator of Regulation of the Prizes and Bets Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance .
The professional, a specialist in Public Policies and Government Management, assumes the executive commissioned role, in accordance with the duties established in MF Ordinance No. 267 of April 26, 2023.
In other words, the ordinance came into force on the date of its publication.

“THE SECRETARY OF PRIZES AND BETS, in the use of the powers conferred on him by art. 10 of MF Ordinance No. 267, of April 26, 2023, published in the Official Gazette of the Union of April 27, 2023, and other information contained in SEI Process No. 19995.004894/2024-65, resolves:
Art. 1 Appoint FRANCISCO CARVALHEIRA NETO, Specialist in Public Policies and Government Management – EPPGG, registration SIAPE nº 1842388, to exercise the Executive Commissioned Function of General Coordinator of Regulation, code FCE 1.13, of the Secretariat of Prizes and Bets of the Ministry of Finance .
Art. 2 This ordinance comes into force on the date of its publication.

Therefore, the appointment to the role of General Coordinator of Regulation reflects the Treasury’s commitment to efficient management in its departments.
Creation of the Sports Betting Secretariat at the Ministry of Sports
The Sports Betting Secretariat will be structured in July, as announced by the Minister of Sports, André Fufuca. The authority, in partnership with the Civil House, will focus on sporting integrity and combating match manipulation.
“We will have a sports betting secretariat. We will have actions focused on the issue of sporting integrity. This integrity will accompany the entire sporting issue and also that of betting”, according to the minister.
