Brazil.- May 10, 2024  www.zonadeazar.com  Bahia is the club that leads its fans’ engagement in NFTs after the launch of Socios.com’s latest campaign with digital collectibles taking advantage of the start of the Brasileirão, in April.

In total, Brazilian fans have already redeemed more than 75 thousand digital assets in the “Prove your passion” campaign (“Proof of passion”, in the original English), launched by the company with its eight partner clubs in the Brasileirão Series A: Atlético- MG, Bahia, Flamengo, Fluminense, Internacional, Palmeiras, São Paulo and Vasco.

“The eight clubs that are part of our ecosystem are actively participating in the campaign. It is the possibility for fans to register their passion in blockchain technology”, stated Bruno Pessoa, general director of Socios.com and Chiliz in Brazil, in an interview with Máquina do Esporte.

And, although Bahia, vice-leader of the Brasileirão, is at the top, the club is fighting fiercely with two other teams, Flamengo and Palmeiras, for leadership. The difference between first and third place is less than 200 digital collectibles.

“The number of collectibles rescued since the beginning of the Brazilian Championship, we are in the fifth round, is quite interesting”, said Pessoa, who participated in a debate on the topic during the Sports Summit, a sports industry congress, in São Paulo (SP ), this Thursday (9).

To promote fan engagement in the actions, each club offers redeemable prizes, such as autographed shirts and captain’s armbands used in games.

“We want to have the possibility of allowing fans to acquire experiences that do not only depend on the clubs, but brands can also take advantage of this and benefit the fans”, said the executive, showing a new way for companies to activate their sponsorships to Brazilian clubs.

According to Socios.com, Brazil is one of the countries that most uses blockchain technology among the 160 in which the company has clients.

“There are more than 450 thousand Brazilians who have the Socios.com application and who interact daily with fan tokens”, highlighted Pessoa.
