Zona de Azar Brazil – Betting House Offers R$160 Million for Palmeiras Sponsorship

Brazil.- July 25, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com BetNacional, a betting house operating in the Brazilian market, is interested in becoming the main sponsor of the team in 2025. With the agreement with Crefisa, the current main sponsor, coming to an end, several companies from different sectors have submitted proposals to occupy the prime spot on Verdão’s uniform.

Recently, Esportes da Sorte offered R$75 million annually to become the club’s new main sponsor. It is worth noting that the betting house is currently the main sponsor of Palmeiras’ women’s team. Currently, Palmeiras receives about R$81 million annually from TAM and Crefisa for the spaces on the team’s uniforms, including shirts, shorts, and socks, potentially reaching up to R$120 million annually with bonuses.

The values proposed by BetNacional would surpass Esportes da Sorte’s proposal

According to a post on Blog do Nicola, BetNacional offered R$160 million annually to Leila Pereira, the club’s president, to occupy the spaces on the front and back of the shirt. According to the blog, the contract would be valid for three years and would be divided into three parts, as detailed below:

  • R$90 million invested directly in Palmeiras;
  • R$10 million in promotional actions, where the company aims for broader engagement with the public;
  • R$60 million in bonuses for the team’s achievements, divided into:
    • R$25 million for winning the FIFA Club World Cup;
    • R$15 million for winning the Copa Libertadores;
    • R$10 million for winning the Brasileirão;
    • R$7 million for winning the Copa do Brasil;
    • R$3 million for winning the Paulistão;

Both betting houses are said to have already submitted official proposals, but Palmeiras has not yet commented on the possibilities. With the season 50% complete, Palmeiras, currently second in the Brasileirão, is still competing for the titles of the Copa do Brasil and the Copa Libertadores de América.
