Zona de Azar Brazil – Brazil: 192 Brands from 89 Different Companies Registered in SIGAP
Brazil – October 03, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com Last Tuesday, October 2, the Ministry of Finance released the final list of licensed betting houses allowed to operate legally in Brazil. In total, 192 brands from 89 different companies were registered in SIGAP.
As a result, the houses not on the list will have until October 11 to refund customer values and cease operations in the country. After this date, Anatel will block the signals of the betting houses operating illegally in Brazil.
What stands out is that five betting houses with master sponsorship contracts with clubs from the A and B Series of the Brasileirão are not on the Ministry of Finance’s final list. Among these houses, the case of Esportes da Sorte is notable, as it is the master sponsor of Corinthians and also has commercial partnerships with Bahia, Athletico Paranaense, and Grêmio.
The team is also the main supporter of the women’s team of Palmeiras and Ceará in Series B. In a statement to Estadão, the company claimed it sent all the necessary documents to operate legally in the country; however, they said there was an error in the Finance system.
Stake, the master sponsor of Juventude, is also absent from the released list. In Series B, Betvip, the sponsor of Sport, Dafabet from Guarani, and Reals Bet from Amazonas and Coritiba are also not on the final list of the Ministry of Finance. Additionally, VaideBet, which became known for its short master sponsorship with Corinthians, is also missing from the final list of the Ministry of Finance.
