Zona de Azar Brazil – Brazil: Esportes da Sorte Will Pay R$100 Million to Corinthians if They Terminate Contract
Brazil.- October 10, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com Esportes da Sorte, the main sponsor of Corinthians and one of the betting companies barred by the government from operating in Brazil, will have to pay a R$100 million fine to the club if it decides to terminate the contract.
The Timão can end the partnership with the betting house at any time if the company’s operating license is canceled or revoked, according to information in Article 5.2 of the contract accessed by Uol.
The club must receive this amount within 10 days from the termination date. Additionally, the document points out other issues that would justify a termination at no cost to the Timão.
Betting companies that are not regulated and authorized by the Ministry of Finance to operate in Brazil, such as Esportes da Sorte, must cease operations by October 11. The company claims to have met all requirements and is seeking rectification.
