Brazil.- November 12, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com  EstrelaBet, a Brazilian betting company, announced a partnership with the Minas Gerais-based university FUMEC on Friday, the 8th. The agreement aims to develop research and initiatives focused on responsible gambling and gambling addiction prevention.

The project, in addition to research, will also offer free counseling sessions with psychologists and use predictive analysis to identify risky behaviors.

“We aim to investigate characteristics and predictive behaviors related to the development of so-called pathological gambling (gambling disorder) among Brazilian players, a topic with still limited studies in the Brazilian academic environment,” added Lafaiete Guimarães Moreira, professor at FUMEC and scientific coordinator of the partnership.
