Zona de Azar Brazil – Brazil: Four New Companies Submit License Applications

Brazil.- September 19, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com In the last 24 hours, four new companies submitted license applications to the Secretariat of Prizes and Bets (SPA) of the Ministry of Finance on Tuesday (17) to operate in the fixed-odds and online gaming markets.

The new applications are directly related to ordinance 1475/24, also published on Tuesday. The ordinance suspends the operations of sites that do not apply for a license by September 30, 2024.

The companies that submitted their applications on Tuesday are BRX Gaming S.A, Amplexus Corporation LTDA (Parimatch), Nexus International LTDA, and JBD Comunicação e Tecnologia Ltda.

Thus, there are now 114 platforms that have applied to operate in the regulated market. It’s important to note that each operating license allows the exploitation of three brands in the country. If all the licenses are approved by the Ministry of Finance, the government could collect up to R$ 3.4 billion.
