According to recruitment company Michael Page, there was a 37% increase in hiring in the sector during the first four months of the year, compared to the same interval in 2023.

The law established guidelines for the operations of betting companies in Brazil. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Finance continues to dictate regulations for the application of the law.

Lucas Papa, executive manager of Michael Page, told Estadão that the regulation brought legal stability to betting companies, encouraging them to invest and organize their activities in the country.

As a result, there is a tendency for companies to look for professionals with leadership skills and experience in business administration, mainly in the financial, marketing and legal compliance sectors.

More Requirements for the Betting Sector in Brazil

A recent study revealed the most in-demand professional positions in the market, with salaries that can reach up to R$ 45,000.

Chief Marketing Officer: In charge of defining the company’s image and developing marketing strategies, including digital marketing, brand building and management of digital communities and influencers. Requirements: International experience in various areas of marketing.

Salary: Between R$ 30 thousand and R$ 45 thousand.

Legal/Compliance Director: Responsible for leading the company’s legal and compliance initiatives, ensuring compliance with standards and defending corporate interests. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Law, specialization and at least eight years of experience in law firms or in the corporate field. Salary: From R$ 20 thousand to R$ 30 thousand.

Chief Financial Officer: Manages the financial operations of the organization, covering areas such as financial planning, financial supervision and preparation of financial reports. Requirements: Previous experience in corporate finance and accounting. Salary: More than R$ 30 thousand.

According to information from Estadão, the growth in demand for online betting specialists was identified through an analysis of the consultancy’s internal data, which also provided additional information on emerging careers in Brazil.
