Brazil.- April 15, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com The publication of the People’s Portal SPA/MF nº 588, dated April 11, 2024, in the Official Gazette of the Union, shows the official recognition of the company eCOGRA Limited as a certifying entity for betting systems.
Also, the company was approved to support live game studies and online games for fixed-quota betting lottery operators.
Issued by the Ministry of Finance, by the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting, this document establishes rigorous criteria of legal qualification, fiscal regularity and work.
In addition to requiring demonstration of suitability and technical qualification by the certifying company, as detailed in the terms of the document.

PORTARIA DE PESSOAL SPA/MF Nº 588, OF APRIL 11, 2024
TO SECRETÁRIA DE PRÊMIOS E APOSTAS SUBSTITUTA DO MINISTÉRIO DA FAZENDA, do not use the attributions conferred by art. 55, section I, line “d”, of Annex I of Decree No. 11,907, of January 30, 2024, considering the provision in section I of art. 4th of Portaria MF-SPA/MF nº 300, of February 24, 2024, resolves:
Art. 1º Reconform the operational capacity of the company eCOGRA Limited as a certifying entity for betting systems, live game studies and online games to be used by fixed quota betting lottery operators.
Single paragraph. The reconfirmation of what it is about or caput will be valid for a period of three years, since the conditions of legal authorization, fiscal regularity and work, suitability and technical qualification demonstrated in the records of the SEI Process nº 14022.023078/2024-34, according to the SEI Technical Note nº 890/2024/MF, in the terms of art. 17 of Portaria MF-SPA/MF nº 300, of February 24, 2024.
Art. 2º This Portaria enters into force on the date of its publication.

The Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA), an organization linked to the Ministry of Finance, is responsible for a variety of attributes related to the regulation and supervision of prize distribution activities.
