Zona de Azar Brazil – Brazil: New Betting Companies on the National List of Authorized Businesses

Brazil.- October 22, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com After the inclusion of Esportes da Sorte and Reals in the national list of authorized betting companies allowed to operate until December, the Ministry of Finance announced another update. Now, the list includes four new platforms, one from Megapix and three from Sportvip Group.

In other words, the Ministry of Finance’s Betting Management System (SIGAP) currently records 100 companies with 223 betting platforms on the national list, with 26 companies included in the states’ report.

Currently, state accreditation covers Rio de Janeiro, Paraná, Maranhão, Minas Gerais, and Paraíba.

These betting companies are authorized to operate until December 31 of this year. This is because the turn of the year will mark the beginning of the regulated sports betting and online gaming market in Brazil.

It is worth noting that Megapix Comunicação e Tecnologia was added by court order, while Sportvip Group International Apostas was included for complying with the rules set by the Prize and Betting Secretariat (SPA).

Ministry of Finance to Announce First Approved Bets by November 20

According to the government, the names of the first approved companies should be announced by November 20, with the obligation to pay 30 million reais for a license valid for five years.

In addition, these companies will be allowed to operate up to three brands, provided they comply with all regulations regarding advertising, responsible gaming, combating irregularities, and money laundering.
