Zona de Azar Brazil – Bresil: Bets CPI to be Established this Friday to Investigate Crimes and Addiction

Brazil.- October 25, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com The Bets CPI, or online betting CPI, is set to be established this Friday (25). Initiated by Senator Soraya Thronicke (Podemos-MS), the commission will investigate the involvement of organized crime and user addiction in these games.

Soraya mentioned that the CPI will uncover how companies not registered with the Ministry of Finance change their CNPJ (National Registry of Legal Entities) to continue profiting.

Senator Marcos Rogério (PL-RO) also advocates for the CPI to examine money laundering crimes and how easily bettors become addicted to the so-called bets. The installation meeting is scheduled for 2 p.m.
