São Paulo.- May 20, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com Caixa Econômica Federal proposed to the government to allocate the proceeds from a prize from the+ Milionária Lottery to help with the consequences of the climate tragedy in Rio Grande do Sul According to the president of the public bank, Carlos Vieira, this action could allocate R$ 100 million to the State.

“Everything has been resolved by Caixa, but it depends on the government’s authorization for us to carry out this action. I hope it passes quickly so we can join other actions,” said Carlos Vieira.

The statement was made to journalists this Thursday (16), during the presentation of the balance sheet of Caixa Econômica Federal, in São Paulo. In addition to the aforementioned proposal, the bank has already implemented some measures, including allowing the suspension of loan and financing payments, which so far resulted in an impact of R$ 66.8 billion on the portfolio.

The action could allocate resources of R$ 100 million to the State, which has been suffering from the floods.
