Zona de Azar Bulgaria – Gambling Firms in Bulgaria to Stop Daytime Advertising

Bulgaria.- December 15, 2022 www.zonadeazar.com Online gambling companies in Bulgaria have agreed to cease advertising on media channels during daytime and also to remove the bonuses, prizes and jackpots on offer.

The decision is part of a self-restriction project brought about by the Bulgarian Gaming Association and the Council for Electronic Media (CEM).

Other measures included will a call for responsible gambling within all adverts broadcast and no actors featured in adverts will be above 23 years of age to try and dis-courage younger gambling. No adverts will be broadcast before 6 pm from January 2023.

Advertising gambling on television in Bulgaria has boomed over recent years and the authority is concerned that this is creating more problem gambling.
