Zona de Azar Canada – theScore Bet Gives Golf Fans Chance to Play at RBC Canadian Open
Canada.- June 01, 2023 www.zonadeazar.com Operator theScore Bet has developed a new, playable experience for the RBC Canadian Open. Hole Zero will be a 150-yard, par 3 hole at Toronto’s Oakdale Golf and Country Club. Attendees could play next to professional golfers during the tournament’s four days.
The RBC Canadian Open, running June 8-11, will feature a clubhouse, caddy, swing coach, gear and official leaderboard for theScore Bet’s Hole Zero competition. Cash prizes will also be awarded.
Aubrey Levy, SVP of Content and Marketing with theScore Bet, said, “For this year’s RBC Canadian Open, we wanted to build on the excitement from last year and bring fans even closer to the action. So, we’ve gone from the sky with Skyline Seats, onto the course, with a first-of-its-kind experience, allowing fans to actually play a full hole at the event with our Hole Zero.”
Golf fans wishing to play Hole Zero must first qualify at either the Fare Way, the RBC Canadian Open Fanzone or the Driving Range. Qualifying fans will then receive a timeslot, as well as shuttled transportation to and from Hole Zero with ball and club selection from the clubhouse. TheScore Bet will provide branded equipment, apparel and swing coach for advice.
The operator will also run a Closest to the Pin contest each day of the tournament with a CA$1,000 prize (US$734.75). The first fan to sink a hole-in-one will win CA$75,000 from theScore Bet.
Levy added, “We know golf fans are always eager to get as close to the action as possible, and now they’ll be able to do so right on the course and in a premium and unique way right alongside the pros.
“Hole Zero is another extension of our brand and activation strategy as we focus on adding real value for fans across our portfolio of partnerships and platforms.”
