Chile.- September 17, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com Eighth project in Chile with an investment of millions of dollars for the Maule Region.
Dreams, the international company headquartered in Chile and a leader in entertainment, will revitalize the agricultural, industrial, and livestock fairs of the former Fital, integrating an amphitheater for 1,500 people, a boulevard with restaurants, shops, a museum, and a casino, with an economic offer that quadrupled that of its competitors and will benefit both the commune and the Maule region.
The US$21 million project, which will create hundreds of jobs and has plans for future growth, will begin construction in the first half of 2025, although there is no inauguration date yet.
The project, which aims to boost the agricultural, industrial, and livestock fairs of the Maule region and will occupy 7,000 m², was presented last Friday in Talca, the heart of the VII Region, where local entrepreneurs will have a modern space with all the amenities to showcase their work and welcome thousands of visitors at the “Maule Fair Park.”
This will be accompanied by entertainment and a wide variety of services as part of the “Dreams Maule” project. A boulevard with restaurants and shops, an amphitheater for 1,500 people, a museum, children’s playgrounds, and halls for cultural events and performances, in addition to a casino, surrounded by large green areas for local families.
“We wanted the families of Maule to experience part of the Dreams experience, which will soon be present in this wonderful region. Enjoying the best shows and the finest gastronomy, with the quality and excellence that Dreams is known for,” said Claudio Fischer, President of Dreams S.A.
Dreams Maule won the casino bid approved by the Superintendence of Casinos for the location next to the iconic Fiscal Stadium of Talca, surrounded by wide avenues. Dreams, the largest casino operator in Chile, with locations in Iquique, Temuco, Valdivia, Puerto Varas, Coyhaique, Punta Arenas, as well as Monticello, and operations in Argentina, Peru, Colombia, and Panama, has decided to place its bets here and is about to begin construction, which will occupy less than 10% of the total land, with a total investment of 20 billion pesos, a figure submitted to the Superintendence of Casinos.
The project was designed by National Architecture Prize winner Juan Sabbagh, who won the competition thanks to an innovative design that naturally integrates the fairgrounds, respecting and honoring its 89-year tradition.
The architecture, with its design, interacts with the environment through the modern use of wood and concrete and elevates the buildings by 1.5 meters above the natural level to ensure the project’s safety and sustainability.
The entertainment center, which will create hundreds of direct and indirect jobs for the people of Maule, will also contribute to the municipal and regional government coffers through a specific gaming tax of 20% on gross revenues, in addition to VAT and the entrance fee, which by law is set at 0.07 UTM for fiscal benefit.
