Zona de Azar Colombia – Colombia: Coljuegos Inaugurates its New Artificial Intelligence Center

Colombia.- October 24, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com As part of its technological modernization process, Coljuegos has inaugurated the Artificial Intelligence Center, Ciac, which will allow for monitoring illegal online betting activities as well as real-time oversight of the transactions made by the 3,656 authorized gaming establishments in the country.

“We are inaugurating the first phase of this technological project aimed at strengthening oversight of physical gaming operations and combating the rise of illegal betting websites. With this, we continue our mission to bring the entity into the 21st century,” said Marco Emilio Hincapié, president of Coljuegos.

According to Coljuegos, the Ciac features an intelligent platform for managing and controlling games of chance, through which it is possible to track the data transmission process of the 107,150 legal electronic slot machines and 16,645 bingo seats operating legally in the country. This system allows for precise tracking of the amounts transferred by each authorized gaming element.

Additionally, the center includes an internet illegality control dashboard, developed with the support of Kiggu, a cybersecurity company. This tool can identify illicit websites on the web, deep web, and darknet, while also protecting the brand of the 16 authorized online betting operators from potential duplication of their platforms.

Similarly, this dashboard allows for tracing social media profiles that run illegal raffles and promote unauthorized betting sites. Furthermore, it provides reports of potential cyberattacks against legal betting websites.

“With this tool, we will be able to increase our capacity to fight against internet illegality. In the past year, we have already issued 5,112 blocking orders for unauthorized betting sites, and we expect to increase this number in the coming days,” Hincapié stated.
