Spain.- July 04, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com Codere Online is set to host the third edition of the Codere Cup in Mexico, an event that aims to bring a fresh twist to its format.

Scheduled for 28 July, the tournament will take place at the BBVA Stadium in Monterrey.

This year, the competition will feature 60 couples divided into two teams, each led by a surprise personality, creating a ‘reality show’ atmosphere.

Additionally, the winning couple will be rewarded with an all-expenses-paid trip to Madrid where they will get to watch Real Madrid play at the iconic Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

Commenting on the event, Carlos Sabanza, Director of Sponsorship and PR at Codere Online, said: “The Codere Cup has been a success for Codere Online and we are committed to continuing to improve and innovate so that our clients continue to live unique experiences through each of our sponsorships.

“On this occasion, to give it more life and flavour, we decided to present a seven-episode reality show format in which the winner will be announced in the last episode.

“The Codere Cup, without a doubt, makes participants feel like football stars by playing in a stadium that will be a World Cup stadium and gives them the opportunity to interact with important personalities in the sport. We are very pleased to present this new edition that will be full of surprises that we will announce little by little.”

The tournament will be recorded and broadcast weekly on Codere’s YouTube channel, culminating in the final episode in October 2024 where the champion will be revealed.

This news comes after Codere Online reported strong Q1 results earlier in the year, with financial highlights including net gaming revenue reaching €53m ($57.15m).
