Zona de Azar Spain – George Soros and BlackRock Become Shareholders of CODERE, Founders Excluded

Spain.- 22 de Agosto de 2024 www.zonadeazar.com  The restructuring of Codere’s debt has resulted in George Soros and BlackRock becoming shareholders, while the founders, the Martínez Sampedro, have been excluded.

This restructuring, which involved a significant debt write-off, has reduced Codere’s debt to 128 million euros, allowing the company to move forward after previous failed attempts.

The Soros Fund now holds 3.03% of the capital, with other investors like Invesco and Jupiter also strengthening their positions. The process was led by Houlihan Lokey and judicially validated.
