Zona de Azar Spain – Hard Rock Hotel Madrid at the Heart of the City’s Golden Triangle of Art

Spain.- September 3th 2021 www.zonadeazar.com The latest addition to the brand’s an international portfolio of hotels is proving to be very much in tune with the vibe of the Spanish capital. Modern, cleanly designed and with that cool twist that all the Hard Rock properties are proud of.
Despite being in the very centre of Madrid, the hotel is surprisingly quiet. All the common areas face a large back space where the pool, garden and Body Rock® fitness centre. A floor above one finds the terrace of Sessions, the hotel’s restaurant designed by the Rockwell Group which serves a Spanish/Mediterranean menu curated by international restaurateur, Maria Font Trabocchi, which surprises with its fresh and healthy options. The Green Room, a private chef’s table serving an exclusive menu to no more than six guests is set to open in September.

At the heart of the property there is a massive guitar sculpture hanging above the lobby (the best view of it is from the roof terrace). The decoration of the lobby itself is enrichened with vibrant art, including a life-size pink “Las Meninas” adorned with Rosalía lyrics, inspired by the eponymous masterpiece by Diego de Velázquez. The GMT+1 bar features a mural of La Movida Madrileña by a local graffiti artist.

Like in all Hard Rock hotels, the artwork is complemented by a collection of memorabilia that showcases Spanish artists (El Canto del Loco, Hombres G, Antonio Vega, Miguel Ríos…), as well as international music legends (a denim outfit worn by Elvis Presley and platform boots worn by David Bowie).

The gem though has to be the spectacular roof terrace with 360° views of Madrid, RT60. The bar offers craft cocktails together with a jamón carving station with cheese to soak up the alcohol and keep you nourished till the early hours while dancing to the beat of live DJ sets – at the end of the day, Madrid is known as the city that never sleeps. But when you finally do, you’ll find spacious rooms full of light, modern and equipped with all the essentials, including a very decent hair dryer (thank you very much).

The hotel offers an array of signature brand experiences and amenities exclusive to Hard Rock properties, including The Sound of Your Stay®, which allows guests to experience curated playlists (Tracks®) and listen to a tailored selection of vinyls in-room. Also available to guests is the wellness programme Rock Om®, which fuses the ancient practice of yoga with the rhythm of a custom DJ-curated soundtrack for complimentary, in-room yoga sessions.

Because of its premier location in the heart of the city and enviable public transport connections, the hotel caters to both business and leisure travellers. Art lovers will be delighted to learn that the Hard Rock Hotel Madrid is surrounded by the Museo Reina Sofía, Museo Nacional del Prado and the Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza.

Last, it is worth mentioning that all Hard Rock Hotels have implemented SAFE + SOUND, a best-in-class programme that implements the highest level of safety, sanitization and employee training developed by a team of hospitality experts in collaboration with worldwide health and sanitization specialists that ensures properties pass a rigorous inspection independently assessed by NSF International.
