Zona de Azar Switzerland – Sportradar Expands Partnership with the NBA
Switzerland – October 23, 2024 www.zonadeazar.com Sportradar expands its partnership with the NBA this season by launching a series of innovative solutions for fan engagement. The goal is to enhance the experience and passion of the league’s over 2 billion followers worldwide.
These new products mark the next step in the evolution of basketball consumption. They will benefit:
- The NBA itself
- Betting houses
- Media partners
Using its Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, Sportradar is introducing a suite of next-generation products for the NBA. All of the league’s official content will be used, including skeleton tracking data.
Sportradar processes hundreds of thousands of data points in each game. This allows for the agile development of products that redefine fan engagement standards. Additionally, it creates new revenue sources for the NBA, its partners, and customers.
Strategies used
Virtualized Live Match Tracker: This tool uses computer vision to transform NBA’s official real-time data into 3D visualizations, presented in a hyper-personalized broadcast with adjustable viewing angles. It provides an immersive experience that keeps fans connected to the betting app while offering live betting opportunities.
4Sight Streaming: Initially launched for tennis and now available for basketball. 4Sight Streaming generates animated overlays and actionable insights by processing an unmatched volume of detailed data. This solution provides a rich viewing experience, capable of predicting likely outcomes of a game, allowing fans to place live bets with more confidence.
Advanced NBA Visualizations: With interactive graphics and animations, these visualizations use real-time skeleton tracking data. They create engaging content with 3D animations, heat maps, and player performance metrics, enhancing game analysis and offering dynamic support for media coverage of on-court action.
emBET: After its successful launch on NBA League Pass earlier this year, emBET now allows bettors to track their wagers in real time. It’s also available across a range of devices, including smart TVs and Android devices, expanding the opportunities for an interactive viewing and betting experience.
Eric Conrad, EVP of Rights & Strategic Partnerships – U.S. & LatAm at Sportradar, stated: “Sportradar is committed to strengthening the longstanding partnership with the NBA.”
“At the same time, the company supports sports betting operators and media companies in leveraging the global popularity of the world’s largest basketball league. The use of AI in deep data will change the way fans interact with the NBA,” he concluded.
