UK.- May 17, 2022 www.zonadeazar.com KPMG will be saying goodbye to one of its lucrative clients in Flutter Entertainment in 2024 under new EU laws preventing companies and auditors from becoming too closely linked and allowing for auditors to be independent of their clients.

Flutter Entertainment has used KPMG since 2002 and the new EU law prevents any company from using the same auditor for more than 10 years. However this rule does not come into force until 2024 allowing Flutter to retain KPMG until then.

Replacing KPMG will be another top four audit company in Deloiite who will then look forward to earning in the region of £5.5 million, what KPMG earned for doing the gambling companies figures for 2021.

The new EU law does not pertain just to gambling companies but all listed companies that use audit companies to fully audit their accounts.
