Zona de Azar USA – AGA Brings WNBA on Board with its Bet Responsibly Initiative

USA.- May 02, 2023 www.zonadeazar.com The WNBA has joined other sports leagues such as the National Basketball Association (NBA), Major League Baseball, National Hockey League and more by partnering with the AGA in a responsible wagering scheme called “Have A Game Plan. Bet Responsibly.” This partnership announcement comes just a few weeks before the start of the WNBA season on May 19.

In 2019, the AGA launched Have A Game Plan with an aim to teach people the basics of responsible sports betting as the industry grows. There are over 30 partners involved with the campaign now.

WNBA Chief Growth Officer Colie Edison said, “WNBA fans are always looking for new and exciting ways to immerse themselves in our game, and legal sports betting has opened the door for deeper engagement with our league. As we explore this new avenue, the WNBA is committed to ensuring those who choose to wager on our league have the knowledge and tools to do so responsibly.”

Campaign content will include in-venue, broadcast, digital and social media activations, as well as in-app and website integration into the league’s WNBA bet tab and content.

AGA Senior Vice President Casey Clark said, “The WNBA’s commitment to Have A Game Plan will expand the campaign’s reach to new and existing basketball audiences. As legal sports betting matures across America, reaching the market’s broad group of diverse participants will require exactly the kind of leadership the WNBA, NBA and all of our Have A Game Plan partners have shown.”
