The data has revealed that US commercial gaming revenue through the year has surpassed the previous high of $53.04bn.

Commercial gaming income in the first 11 months of 2022 was $54.93bn, a 13.5% increase over the same time in 2021.

Additionally, November marked the game’s 21st straight month of year-on-year growth, with the sector’s sales reaching $5.02bn, up 2.4% from November 2021.

The report also revealed that traditional casino games generated $3.82bn in revenue in November, a 0.4% reduction from the same month last year.

Due to a drop in the sportsbook hold percentage, sports betting produced income of $743.8m in November in 27 live commercial markets, an increase of 2.6% over the previous November when 25 markets were live.

A total of $458.4m was made by the iGaming operations in Connecticut, Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia, an increase of 33.0% from the previous year.

Further, in November, revenue increased from the previous year in 21 of the 33 commercial gambling jurisdictions that were operating at the time.

A combined 23.9% of all commercial gaming revenue came from iGaming and sports betting in November, which was 24.5% in October, and 20.2% for the entire year.

Meanwhile, the American Gaming Association (AGA) recently released a new toolkit that provides resources for the gaming industry to spread awareness on the issue of anti-human trafficking.

It was released after the body published its anti-human trafficking guide in June 2022, with January 2022 representing National Human Trafficking Prevention Month.
