Zona de Azar USA – Caesars Corporate Social Responsibility Report Shows ‘Significant Progress
USA.- October 21, 2021 www.zonadeazar.com Caesars Entertainment released its 2020-2021 Corporate Social Responsibility report Wednesday, detailing the company’s progress towards Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), its social contributions, environmental impacts and more.
The report covers the second half of 2020 and the first half of 2021, covering Caesars first year post its acquisition of Eldorado Resorts last summer.
Among the highlights: women’s mid-level leadership grew to 45%, while people of color (POC) leadership grew to 40%, including 17% of senior leadership.
By 2025, Caesars plans to have 50% of leadership roles held by women within both mid-level and senior leadership positions, and 50% of leadership of leadership held by POC, increasing the representation of POC in senior leadership by 50%.
Caesars reinvested $48m in its communities in 2020 and distributed $3.7bn in economic wealth to stakeholders. Caesars said that it turned 64 cents of every revenue dollar into a community contribution, nearly four times the national community contribution for U.S. corporations.
The company’s climate action plan led to Caesars reducing its absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 36.1% versus 2011.
“For years we’ve believed and acted in line with a precautionary approach, assessing and mitigating environmental risk and working to reduce the burden we place on planetary limits through our activities and those of our Team Members, guests and suppliers.,” the report said.
Caesars said it also showed progress its in responsible gaming initiatives. In 2020, the company delivered responsible gaming training to more than 33,000 team members.
