USA.- May 5th 2021 www.zonadeazar.com The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas announced it has received approval from the Nevada Gaming Control Board to return to 100% capacity.

The Las Vegas Strip casino reported an employee vaccination rate of 80%, triggering the NGCB’s decision to allow it to return to full operations. The NGCB’s ruling calls for the removal of social distancing restrictions including plexiglass on the casino floor.

“The Cosmopolitan demonstrated substantial efforts to vaccinate its workforce and have set an industry standard in what can be accomplished through smart and swift action,” said J. Brin Gibson, Chair, Nevada Gaming Control Board. “As a result, The Cosmopolitan is one of few Las Vegas gaming properties to receive approval to return to full capacity due to its overwhelming employee response, and we’ve asked them to share their methodology, strategy and success with the wider hospitality industry. We look forward to seeing all resort partners across The Strip continue the momentum.”

The Cosmopolitan joins Wynn Resorts’ Wynn and Encore as the first Las Vegas casinos to return to 100% capacity.

The Cosmopolitan promised employees a bonus of up to $1m if they reached 80% vaccination.
