Zona de Azar USA – FanDuel Partners with Boyd Gaming to Rebrand Fremont Hotel Casino

USA.- August 5th 2022 www.zonadeazar.com The downtown location will provide FanDuel odds but will remain operated by Boyd Sports.
FanDuel is moving into Las Vegas but only as the new brand name for the sportsbook located inside the Fremont Hotel Casino. In a partnership with Boyd Gaming, the sports betting operator will provide odds and branding to the location.

The sportsbook will remain operated by Boyd Sports which is the retail and mobile sports wagering business for Boyd. The Las Vegas-based company owns 5% of FanDuel which operates its own retail and online sports betting in the company’s casinos outside of Nevada.

Through the Nevada licensing agreement the Fremont Hotel Casino sportsbook will be rebranded as a FanDuel sportsbook and the facility will post FanDuel odds.

The initial licensing won’t allow FanDuel to launch its mobile sports betting app in Nevada but according to The Nevada Independent, this is expected to be on the Gaming Control Board’s August agenda.

In an emailed statement to The Nevada Independent, Boyd Gaming spokesman David Strow commented: “We believe the FanDuel Sportsbook would be a great addition to the Fremont and the downtown area.

“We look forward to sharing more details following the receipt of required regulatory approvals.”

FanDuel was operational in Nevada up until October of 2015 and offered daily fantasy sports. However, Nevada gaming regulators ruled that daily fantasy was a form of sports wagering and required that companies offering it be licensed as sports betting operators.

FanDuel currently operates its sports betting platform in fifteen states where the activity is legal and regulated.

Over the last year, FanDuel has generated $1.9bn in pre-tax revenue.
