Zona de Azar USA – Flutter Reportedly in Discussions to Appoint US Chairman

USA.- April 11, 2023 www.zonadeazar.com Flutter Entertainment is in “advanced talks” to appoint US-based businessman John Bryant as its next chairman, according to Sky News. This is the latest move in the company’s plan to distance itself from the London Stock Exchange.
Flutter Entertainment currently owns and operates FanDuel, Sky Bet, Adjarabet, Junglee Games, PokerStars and many other leading brands.

Flutter said in February the company “was exploring seeking a US listing for its stock because of the growing importance to the group of FanDuel.”

The company said it “anticipates the US-based operation becoming its largest business by revenue and an ever-greater proportion of its overall value.”

Bryant serves as Compass Group’s Senior Independent Director and currently sits on two US-based company boards. He holds both Australian and US nationality.

An annual shareholder meeting is scheduled for later this month. An investor suggested to Sky News that the upcoming meeting would be “a logical time for the company to unveil its next chairman.”

Flutter has long since been debating its options with regards to FanDuel, as the brand is more than powerful enough to stand on its own two feet in North America.

In US sports betting, FanDuel is a clear market leader, with DraftKings a runner up in many states.

When it comes to online casino, BetMGM is a market leader in the handful of states where iGaming is legal. Here, with margins much higher than in sports wagering, FanDuel CEO Amy Howe has previously told Gambling Insider she is looking to significantly increase market share.
