Zona de Azar USA – MGM Resorts Recognized by CDP for A-List Environmental Practices
USA.- December 15, 2022 www.zonadeazar.com The international not-for-profit environmental charity CDP has awarded MGM Resorts a place on its A-List, in recognition of its environmental achievements. This includes ranking categories such as climate change, water security and corporate transparency and performance.
This means they join a host of globally esteemed companies such as Mercedes-Benz, Danone, L’Oréal and other internationally recognized brands.
MGM Resorts was one of 57 companies to achieve a double-A rating on climate change and water security out of 15,000 scored on CDP’s rating system. The assessment process involves companies filling out CDP’s 2022 Climate Change and Water Security questionnaires.
MGM Resorts Chief People, Inclusion and Sustainability Officer Jyoti Chopra commented: “This marketplace recognition by CDP is a reflection of our ongoing strategic prioritization of sustainability across our business operations and supply chain.
“We are fiercely committed to corporate environmental leadership and continuing our efforts around water stewardship and the fight against climate change.”
CDP utilizes a detail-oriented and independent methodology to assess companies, rating them on a scale of A to D-minus. They are judged based on the demonstration of best practices regarding environmental leadership, comprehensiveness of disclosure and awareness and management of environmental risks.
CDP Global Director of Corporations Dexter Galvin commented: “Environmental transparency is the first vital step towards a net-zero and nature-positive future. In a year of ever-increasing environmental concerns around the world.
“As CDP continues to raise the bar on what qualifies as climate, forests and water leadership, we hope to see the ambitions and actions of companies on the A-List – and those wanting a place on it – do the same.”
