Zona de Azar USA – theScore Bet Mobile Sportsbook to Discontinue US Operations in July
USA.- June 07, 2022 www.zonadeazar.com Operator theScore Bet’s mobile sportsbook has decided to discontinue its US operations and focus on the commercial market in the Canadian province of Ontario. US players will have until July 1, 2022 to settle their accounts.
The company’s new Canadian focus follows Ontario’s recent entry into the sports betting market earlier this spring.
The Ontario commercial market went live on April 4 and is the first Canadian province to offer iGaming to its residents. Up to now, local lotteries have traditionally dominated Canada’s gambling sector.
Ontario is projected to become one of North America’s largest iGaming markets.
The mobile sportsbook will stop accepting US wagers on June 15, and customers will not be able to make deposits after this date. From that time until the July 1 cutoff, only withdrawals from customer accounts will be available.
Users who do not withdraw their funds by the deadline will have checks mailed out to them. Those will be mailed to the registered account user’s address listed with the sportsbook.
As far as bets on the NBA and NHL playoffs, and events that will conclude on or before the July 1 deadline are concerned, those will remain active and will settle per the usual procedure.
Players with pending wagers on future events that conclude after the deadline will be contacted directly by theScore Bet and will be given instructions on how those bets will be handled.
Players who need to update their contact information on theScore Bet will still be able to make changes by contacting the sportsbook’s customer support team.
Penn National Gaming owns and operates Barstool Sportsbook, as well as theScore Bet. Barstool Sportsbook is live in 12 US states, including Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, and New Jersey. The company’s iCasino is live in New Jersey, as well as three other US states.
