Zona de Azar USA – WLA Executive Committee Met in Person for the First Time Since the Pandemic

USA.- November 5th 2021 www.zonadeazar.com On Tuesday, November 2, 2021, in New York City, the WLA Executive Committee met in-person for the first time since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although not all of the 13 Executive Committee members were able to attend the live meeting – owing to travel restrictions that are still in place in some countries – those unable to be present in-person attended the meeting via teleconferencing. WLA President Rebecca Paul kicked off the meeting welcoming all the participants, both live and virtual.

Among other business, the meeting covered the WLA’s training and education program for 2022 as well as next year’s World Lottery Summit to be held in Vancouver, Canada, from October 16–22. WLA Executive Director Luca Esposito reported on the Association’s ongoing activities as did the Chairs of each of the supporting committees – the Audit Committee, the Security and Risk Management Committee, the CSR Committee, the Illegal Lotteries and Betting Committee, and the Betting Integrity on Sports & Horse Racing Committee.

Despite the hybrid format, the meeting was a success, bringing the promise of a return to normality for the WLA and the world lottery community going forward. #worldlotteryassociation
